I grew out a patch of this in 2007, in the City of Roses, Cascadia (aka "Portland, Oregon"). I was simply astounded by the variations in the colors and shapes of the leaves and stems. The flavors were also exquisite. I seeded the bed in mid-late summer and got a generous picking for my CSA subscribers in the late fall. So far (Jan. '08) the patch is overwintering very well, without benefit of a cloche. (The yard is sheltered by fences and houses and is in the middle of the city, which helps.) For the 2008 season I am upping my order from packet to ounce and plan to put in as much as I can find room for. I highly recommend this delightful mix!
