Iberis spp. An ornamental genus of the Brassica family, sweetly scented or stinky depending upon your inclination. Makes for showy beds and containers of umbiliform flower clusters that are attractive to butterflies and beneficial insects. These can be autumn sown in milder climates. The essential difference between species umbellata vs amara is the "rocket" effect of the amara species as its inflorescence extends during blooming, creating towers rather than tufts.
