Carthamus tinctorious Safflower, an oil and dye plant of ancient cultivation, probably native to Eurasia, but known only as a cultivated plant, its native species form unknown in the modern world. These can be transplanted or direct seeded after frost, spaced 6-12" apart, grows to 3' tall producing 4-7 stems about 20-24" long.
